This is inspired by my orange tabby, Beezlebob, whose ability to relax feels almost instructional. Watching him stretch out in the sunlight is a reminder of how easily animals settle into the moment and how much there is to learn from that kind of presence.
This painting captures a quiet, everyday scene, one rooted in warmth and ease. Light moves gently across the composition, emphasizing stillness rather than action. The relaxed posture and soft surroundings reflect an unhurried state, where nothing more is required than being exactly where you are.
At its heart, this piece is about appreciation. It reflects the simple pleasure of sunlight, rest, and paying attention to small moments that often go unnoticed.
