Bold Bull Moose

Title: Bold Bull Moose

Oil on canvas

Size: 36 × 36 inches

Bold Bull Moose is inspired by repeated encounters with moose and the lasting impression they leave. Their size alone commands attention, yet what stays with me most is their quiet agility and calm strength. No matter how often they appear, they never lose their ability to amaze.

This painting is not about a specific moment or place. It is about what comes to mind when I think of a bull moose. Bold color, strong movement, and expressive brushwork reflect the strength, confidence, and physical presence these animals carry so naturally. The sweeping antlers and layered forms emphasize both weight and motion, capturing how massive yet agile they are.

This piece represents feeling rather than realism. It is my response to the awe and respect that moose inspire every time they appear, and the lasting impression they leave long after they are gone.
