Blue Pear

Title: Blue Pear

Oil on panel

Size: 6 × 6 inches

I have always found the shape of a pear to be quietly sensual. Its curves feel balanced and intentional, simple yet expressive, making it an engaging subject to return to again and again.

This painting is part of a larger exploration of different painting styles, using pears as a familiar form to work through variation and technique. By shifting approach and handling, the focus stays on shape, surface, and presence rather than realism.

Blue Pear leans into the character of the pear itself. It is playful, confident, and self-contained, celebrating how an ordinary object can hold interest through form alone.
