Alpine Energy

Title: Alpine Energy Greeting Card

Oil on canvas

Size: 30 × 24 inches

Alpine Energy grew out of years spent working in high tech, when time in the mountains became an essential escape. Traveling to the Cascades, the Wind River Range, and the Sierras created a sharp contrast to daily routines. A much-needed break from monotonous routine and noise. Being in those places felt like stepping into another world, one shaped by space, movement, and changing light.

This painting reflects the range of energy and serenity I found in these landscapes. Quiet stretches of land give way to areas that feel active and charged, and I wanted the composition to move between those states. Shifts in color and shape echo how the mountains can feel calm one moment and intense the next, without warning.

Rather than documenting a single place, Alpine Energy expresses the feeling of being surrounded by powerful terrain and open air. It is about release, renewal, and the sense of clarity that comes from standing in spaces where the land feels alive and constantly shifting.
